About Our Products:
Our Soap Sculpts are made with Detergent-Free Goat Milk base, which leaves skin moisturized and feeling great! Our Soap Bars are made using the Cold Process style of soap making, which means using lye and oils to make a soap from scratch. All of our products are homemade and unique, which means our products might not act entirely like commercial products. One instance of this would be our Soap Bars vs. commercially obtained soap bars. Our Soap Bars are made with organic, sustainable, and vegan ingredients that are plainly laid out on the back label. Commercially obtained soap bars are made into powder form (milled) and then pressed firmly together with extra ingredients added for preservation and to keep the soap particles from disjoining. We here at Smells Nice couldn’t help but wonder “Why?” when we learned about this.
All products include a list of ingredients in their description, while Soap Bars have the list reiterated on their back label.
About Our Shipping:
We try to keep up sustainable, earth-friendly packaging by using as little plastic as possible to keep our soaps waterproof. We also use recycled paper that has been run through a paper shredder in an attempt to make compostable packaging material that can biodegrade quicker than store-bought crinkle paper. If we are feeling whimsical, we’ll add in some cheap but pretty tissue paper, for some flair.
We typically ship two days after we receive an order, depending on the order, unless it is a weekend, or you request a specific ship date.
About Us:
We as a company want everyone to experience the invigorating feeling of homemade products in your bathing endeavors. The company was started in April of 2021, with plans for expansion of products in the future. We hope to one day sell liquid soap, lotions, candles, scrubs, and solid bubble bath.
About the Owner:
I am Angel Ganter, resident Soap Chef and owner. I started my business because, of all places, Hobby Lobby. They sell melt and pour soap base in 2- and 5-lb trays, as well as a bunch of cheap fragrance oils for bath and body products, and candles. After figuring out how to use everything, I discovered I actually really enjoyed making soap for others as a hobby, but also discovered I enjoyed it so much that my wallet was starving while my soap stores were growing. So, Smells Nice was created to fuel my happiness at serving others, as well as fuel my passion for continuing on.
I have since moved past the Hobby Lobby soap bases and fragrance oils, and now use higher quality soap that has no detergents within (and fragrance oils that smell absolutely SPLENDID), as well as have started making cold process soap bars that make skin feel nice and Smell Nice, too.
